Marathon Question
« on: May 31, 2006, 11:31:00 AM »
Da Perf says that the GSM "...premieres Wednesday at 8 p.m. (EDT/PDT) and continues Thursday at 8. The twice-weekly format continues until June 15, when the show settles into a weekly Thursday slot."

I was under the impression that there were only seven episodes, which seems to be in conflict with the above quote (if the first six eps air on 5/31, 6/1, 6/7, 6/8, 6/14, and 6/15, then there's not much left to "settle into a weekly Thursday slot.")

I don't want to turn this into a Perf-bashing thread, but what's the truth here?

You expected a correct quote coming from the perfesser? :) It's twice a week until the week of June 11, where it will air on Thursdays for the next 3 weeks.

No, I didn't expect it, but I read it originally at TVSquad.  It looks like the author got his information from the Perf, too.  Ugh.

In fairness, that's a pretty tiny nit to pick with the professor.  The show begins to air weekly on June 15th.  I can see how his wording of that fact can be misinterpreted, but it's not as though it was an outrageously false statement.
This has been another installment of Matt Ottinger's Masters of the Obvious.
Stay tuned for all the obsessive-compulsive fun of Words Have Meanings.
